I have a 3/4 ct diamond and I would like to add some smaller diamonds surrounding the 3/4 ct…to be honest, to make it appear bigger. I already have the ring so I guess my question is since the actual diamond is already set in my ring can this still be done. You’re looking at a nice chunk of money for all that labor, plus the cost of new heads or mounting plates for the stones… it may be cheaper and prettier in the long runto just buy a new setting that is made to fit your stones. It depends on how your ring is currently designed, and exactly how you want to add the stones. Explain what you want the finished product to look like, and let them tell you if it’s even a possibility....
