Maria Sharapova – Winning in tennis and fashion in Paris
28.05.11
You’d think with her looks and body she’d look great in anything … not so. However, this new one is a winner. Yellow ribbons criss-cross around her upper body like the iron lattice-work of the famous Paris landmark. I’m wondering if I can take a photo with me to Shanghai and get something similar in a street length dress made … they can make anything for a great price. Maria Sharapova is not only winning matches in Paris, her Eiffel Tower-inspired dress is hands down the best outfit on the red clay of Roland Garros. Nike does theme dresses for her for all the Grand Slams, and frankly, when I heard about this one, I was a bit worried. I still had visions of the awful peacock thing she wore in Australia, and the “swan” dress at Wimbledon a few years ago. The double-layered skirt with the sheer overlay moves beautifully, and I love the uneven hemline.
