Adam smiled, titling his head to the side to read the message two more times. Tommy was always doing this, sending him little cryptic messages, subtle and sometimes not so subtle hints at what could or could never happen. Adam was used to this, he really was. Straight boys, well, “straight” boys that said “You know just do what you want, I’m okay with it because I’m straight. Remember?” “So…when will you be here?” Adam wished he was talking on the hotel phone so he could wrap the cord around his fingers. He shifted his weight from one foot to the other, nervous, and anxious for Tommy to get here, as if he had never been before, like this was a blind date of some sort. Goddamn, he was being stupid. It was Tommy, not Elton John. Well…maybe sometimes. Elton John had been in the closet too at one point….Adam giggled under his breath. Adam thought he enjoyed Tommy calling him babe more than he had enjoyed their sort of kiss, this time private and behind closed doors...
