Chicago police seek help identifying 6-month-old girl left at station
Chicago police on Saturday were asking the public's help in identifying a girl who was abandoned at a police station on New Year's Day .The infant, about 6 months old, was left at the Grand Crossing District police station, 7040 S. Cottage Grove Ave., about 3:30 p.m. Friday in a black and silver Baby Trend Expedition stroller.
The girl was wearing a pink jacket with butterflies and a jumper with ABC printed on it, and she was wrapped in a multi-colored Winnie the Pooh blanket. Police said the infant has two teeth and pierced ears with diamond earrings.
She appeared healthy but was taken to University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital, police said.
A community alert describes "Baby Jane Doe" as a Hispanic girl about 25 inches tall, 17 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 312-747-8274.
