Colin and Justin: The absolutely perfect shopping day

But the perfect day shopping involves so much more than simply flexing our credit cards and hitting the stores. But there’s another type of perfect day in the world of C&J: getting up early and embarking upon a shopping trip. And when we shop we like to start the day early. Typically we’ll get up at the crack of dawn and, after a swim to shake of the shackles of the night before, we’ll jump in our car and hit the city. Lou Reed famously crooned the haunting “Perfect Day” and, although there have been many versions of his iconic song, none, as far as we see it, can touch the original. For us, a perfect day might be built around an invigorating walk, a deux, through a crisp winter forest. The whole procedure, it should be reported, will involve a spot of breakfast (somewhere fabulous, of course) and then, further into the morning, an “elevenses” break with a rich espresso to further fuel our retail ambitions.
