Which would be a more durable wedding ring, silver or white gold ...
Well the white gold rings eventually fade a little and need to be replated every so often as the yellow gold underneath shows through. It’s because there’s no such thing as white gold and it has to be rhodium plated to make it look silvery.
I have been married for 2 years and only had to do it once. Costs around £20 I think. I didn’t like the yellow gold rings either and all my other jewellery is sliver, so it made sense to have the white gold rings.
silver is so weak and breaks and bend so easily that you wedding band will last no more then 6 months if that long. it tarnished and discolors your skin if moisture gets between the ring and skin. not a good idea to get silver for a wedding band.
white gold is far more durable for a wedding band however it does cost more then silver but definitely worth the money. depending on the size and width of the band it should be no more than 200 for both if that much at all (based of 10kw, thinnest wedding bands).
